SCADA, HMI - Supports integration with plant floor equipment, i.e. PLC's, controllers, torque guns, testing equipment, etc. Allows to capture controls information and develop HMI.
 
Process automation - Allows to automate process workflow (soft controls) driving plant floor equipment.
 
Manufacturing setup - Allows to configure site, work centers and stations; configure BOM and routings; define production model. Orginizes entire manufacturing process in individual cells and steps. Allows to share manufacturing cells between multiple models.
 
Managemant of Engineering Changes - Supports engineering changes; revisioning of materials and BOM. Allows model changes prior to implementation.
 
Production Scheduling -  Scheduling of production in time. Either manual (drag & drop interface) or automated following predefined criteria. Allows to use alternate resources according to part routings. Commonly used in the "Build To Schedule" production scenario. Provides ability to schedule downtime, such as breaks and maintenace.
 
EDI and sequencing - Supports integration of various EDI's (EDIFACT, VDA, flat text, XML, etc.) from various OEM's (VW, Nissan, Renault, PCA, Ford, etc.). Supports management of customer orders and sequencing to the production lines, subassemblies and containers. Commonly used in the "Build To Sequence" and "Pick To Sequence" scenarious.
 
Labeling - Printing of production, sequence, container and many other label types. Serialization of parts, containers, etc.
 
Operator instructions - Guides operators on the plant floor on the process steps.
 
Traceability - Controls and records each step of the manufacturing process to provide complete traceability.
 
Birth History - Provides insight on the build process of the specific item answering questions: "What was done?", "Where it was done?", "When it was done?" and "By whom?"
 
Error Proofing - Controls operators and prevents them from mistakes. Minimization of "human factor".
 
Packing and Dispatch - Controls various packing scenarious such as batch or sequenced, shipment loading and goods delivery to the customer.
 
Interfaces with ERP's - Miscelenious interfaces with different ERP's such as SAP, MFGPro, AS400, CMMS.
 
Production Metrics - Provides production metrics, such as FTT, OEE, DTD, scrap rates, etc. that allow to analize and assess manufacturing efficiency. AGW offers Web Andon boards displaying real time production metrics.

AGW Manufacturing Kit
 
AGW Manufacturing Kit is ISA-95 complient. Its functionality distributed into 4 ISA-95 defined areas:
  • Production Capibility and Capacity - Defines resources available for production, such as personel, manufacturing equipment, material resources and business processes. These resource categories configurable in AGW Manufacturing Kit.
  • Product Definitions - Defines what needed to produce a product. AGW Manufacturing Kit allows to define the structure of each product (BOM) and map it on the manufacturing steps according to product routings. The business logic of process steps implemented with AGW Workflows.
  • Production Schedule - Defines what needs to be produced and what resoucres to use. AGW Manufacturing Kit supports the number of production scenarios such as "Build To Batch", "Build To Schedule", "Build To Sequence", "Build To Order". Also AGW supports electronic Kanban that allows to trigger production per stock replanisment.
  • Production Performance - Defines the number of metrics to assess production performance. The continious process improvement is a key for lean manufacturing. Analysis of production performance is a mandatory step on a way to continious improvent. AGW Manufacturing Kit offers a number of production metrics such as FTT, OEE, DTD, etc. for the business analysis of manufacturing process.
